One of the ways I use pine nuts is to brown them lightly and add them to fresh green beans that I have par boiled or steamed a little (they should still be crisp).

I sauté the green beans in a little extra virgin olive oil and a little salt and pepper. I saw Sara Moulton the chef on the Food Network do this a few years ago and my family liked them so much thats how I usually make green beans. I am in Calif. so I usually buy the big bag of shelled pine nuts at Costco like Tommy said.

The bag is large so I use a little, then re-vacuum seal it and put it in the freezer.
