2 cups sugar 4 cups flour
1 cup lard or margarine May flavor with 1 Tablespoon of either wine, whiskey or vanilla
2 eggs

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt  
1 tsp cinnamon (use Anise at your choice)


First cream sugar and lard, add eggs, cinnamon and beat them until smooth --- Add flavoring (your choice) -- Then add the dry ingredients and mix with small amounts of cold water until dough is stiff -- Roll out and cut with cookie cutter
Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle on top of cookies -- bake till brown --- 350 or 400 degrees (depending on your oven)
