| Biography: I was born in Covina, California, to Henry Montoya Garcia and Genevieve Gertrude Drehobl. My father is descended from the Gurule's through his maternal grandmother, Anita Donaldson, and her second husband, Jesus Viscaino. Santiago Gurule and Elena Gallegos In July 1971, my parents decided it would be better to raise us kids in New Mexico, and with the aircraft industry being what it was at the time, Dad found a new job, sold the house in La Puente, CA and we were headed for Santa Clara (then known as Central), NM. Long story short, I graduated from Cobre High School in Bayard, NM (two miles from Central) in 1982, then graduated from Western New Mexico University in Silver City "some years" later. I spent about nine years total working in this and other states, putting my degree to good use, but I now reside in Santa Clara again. For anyone interested, I have amassed a great deal of history and genealogy on the Garcia family from Cuchillo, NM (circa late 1800s/early 1900s).
